Welcome to Henry A. Barber's Home Page

This site is dedicated to my father Henry Albert Barber Jr. known as Hank to his family and friends. Hank served over 3 years in the United States Army during WWII from August 24, 1942 to December 24, 1945. He was a member of the 1st Combat Cargo Squadron and served in the China-Burma-India Theater for 15 months. Hank operated an airborne transmitting and receiving set and flew 475 recorded flight hours over the Himalayas. The flights over "The Hump" were the most treacherous air route during WWII.

This site has many of the photos and CBI memorabilia that Dad saved. I will continue to add his stories that he has shared with us over the years. If you recognize any of these people or places please email me.
